Grand Ole Opry put Nashville on the world map forever to be known as Music City.  Many believe because of the far reach of WSM 650’s 50,000 watt station broadcasting the Weekly show introduced fans as far north as Evansville, Indiana and as far south as Huntsville, Alabama. Today the show can also be heard on many digital platforms and the fan base continues to grow.  The Opry moved from the Ryman Auditorium March 15, 1974.
