Nashville has been expanding its base of ethnic foods for many years now.If you have a craving for Indian food, Chahuan Ale and Masala House will be one of the places you must not miss. Chef Maneet Chauhan left New York to establish this innovative Indian gastropub in the North Gulch area of Nashville. Once a refurbished garage, the space now features quirky light fixtures and video projections along the brick walls. Chauhan plays with Nashville’s popular “meat and three” concept (chef’s choice of entree with naan, raita and papadum) and Canadian poutine (topped here with mozzarella, chicken and makhani gravy). As the name would suggest, there’s a solid ale selection, and the cocktails have pleasant kicks of curry, ginger or cayenne. So take a walk on a different flavor street for a change and check out this Indian restaurant.
